Care Instructions
How to look after your Smith & Gibb Jewellery:
Thank you for choosing a piece of Smith & Gibb jewellery, I want you to be able to enjoy your jewellery for many years to come and with some simple care instructions you will be able to keep your jewellery as good as new!
Every piece of Smith & Gibb is handmade by me, Rebecca, and although I check every piece before I send it out there can sometimes be things that can become damaged due to the delicate nature of jewellery.
The bright colour which is also known as enamel on many pieces of my jewellery is made up of powdered glass. Like glass it can break if dropped or if any impact against hard surfaces. I would recommend keeping it in a box or safe place when you are not wearing it, this will also help the silver from becoming tarnished.
I would also recommend taking your jewellery off when showering, using fragrance as well as using a hairdryer or hair straighteners - jewellery should be the last thing you put on before heading out!
Do not use cleaning products on your jewellery, simply by using a soft brush with mild soapy water will shine up the silver part of your piece.
